The education landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is within the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school product is not the only productive means of learning. CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, about their range of courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are offered at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a 3-yr period.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Prerequisites

These programs commence at NCV level two along with the bare minimum need would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

After the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they'd then have attained a grade ten certificate. NCV Level 3 would be grade 11 and NCV Level four is grade 12.

NCV Level four is at the exit level, currently being comparable to a Nationwide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade nine is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV level two that is equivalent to an NQF level two.

On which type of students are fitted to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that conventional education is not automatically the only real means of turning read more out to be an artisan or getting certified therefore if a student knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is actually completely suited to that student.
